Think of what life could be
If we ditched our phones
And turned off the TV
Instead, we’re captive
Held up by the media
Our brains forever set to reactive
He said, she said, tit-for-tat
The outrageous business model
Is where the money’s at
They want you angry, foaming at the mouth
So they can sell you fool’s gold
And keep you on the lookout
For one who’s different, the outsider
They’re coming for your soul
So you’d better get wiser
They target the elites, same as the uneducated
Conspiracies are promoted
But they don’t dare debate them
They say It’s bad, worse than it’s ever been
Maybe that’s why they’re never happy
Even when they win
Better repeat the cycle, no time to gloat
The 9:00pm host
Needs another boat
If only we’d wake up, reject their hate
Look each other in the eye
And see what makes us great
